Sun Hosta – 1 Gallon Pot

$ 13.28

Sun Hosta is a shade-loving herbaceous perennial primarily grown for its colorful arching foliage. The large upright golden basal leaves are deeply veined and have rippled edges. Small bell-like pale lavender flowers raise up in terminals from the rootstalk above the mound in late spring or summer, attracting butterflies. Sun Hosta grows best in partial sun and moist well-drained soils, but it also tolerates and holds its color even in bright sun. This perennial has a height of 1′ to 2.5′ and a spread of 3′ to 4′, with a spacing of 3′. Sun Hosta is hardy in USDA Hardiness Zones 3 to 9 and can be grown in part sun or full shade. The purple blooms appear in the summer season. Sun Hosta is a low-maintenance plant, but it can be susceptible to issues like snails, slugs, foliar nematodes, Hosta Virus X, tobacco rattle virus, and tomato ring spot virus. This plant can be used as an accent, in group plantings, borders, woodland gardens, naturalized areas, rock gardens, and containers. Companion plants for Sun Hosta include Coral Bells, Japanese Forest Grass, and Ligularia.
